Jane Dummary~Richardson (1848-1864) died during child birth and her father Richard Richardson (?-1874) was killed in a horseback riding accident when she was 10 years old. The Allsworth's, were good friends of Richard and adopted Mary soon after the accident and brought her with them when they came to the United States.
Walter Henry Edgar's (1888-1958) grandparents, George Baird Edgar (1830-1917) & Isabella Japp (1834-1916) came to America from Scotland in 1883 and became Naturalized Citizens soon after.
Walter Henry Edgar fell in love and married Ellen Geneva Crowther (1892-1967). They had 3 children, 2 boys and a girl. Walter Gordon Edgar (1911-1956), Elmer Lee "Lee" Edgar (1913-2004)and Delores Ann Edgar~Workman (1916-1977).
Most of Walt's adult life he was employed as the manager of Rio Grande Lumber Company. Retiring after many years. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and play baseball with his family. He gave his sons the knowledge of carpentry and to use their hands building almost anything. The photograph (page2) of everyone and everything piled in the car is now Titled: "It's July... Let's go Camping!" It's typical of the entire Edgar Family..then and now.
