In her late teens Ellen met and fell in love with Walter George Edgar. Not long after their marriage Walter Gordon Edgar (1911-1956) was born...then Elmer Lee Edgar (1913-2004). Three years later, Delores "Dee" Ann Edgar (1916-1977)arrived. Ellen spent her time as a homemaker, loving mother and wife. Sewing her children's shirts and dresses. Spent time crocheting beautiful tablecloths, arm rests, and doilies of every shape and size. In her spare time, because of her beautiful voice, she was ask many times, to sing during concerts and special events in the Salt Lake area.
Always industrious, she bred and raised canaries to sale. And there was at least one singing canary, that she would place in front of the window in the kitchen and every morning, the melodies coming from the bird and the warmth of the sunrise would greet everyone's day. It was a great way to wake up. She loved to sing and spent hours pumping the pedals on their player piano. Of course because the piano rolls always had the words to the music on them...on occasion everyone would join in. She loved her children and grandchildren and always smelled like lavender scented powder.
