Sarah Anne grew up in a small town of less than 300 people, "where anybody... knew everybody".

She was about 18 years old when she married George Henry Crowther (1866-1934) and moved to Salt Lake city, Utah. It must have been very exciting to move from the small town of Goshen to the big city. A young lady and her new husband set up housekeeping, made many friends and enjoyed being a wife and soon to be a mother. However, her life was short, we have been told that she was kind, loving and hardworking.

Sarah Anne was just 28 years old when complications occurred while giving birth to her son, George Horatio Crowther. Sadly, on March 23rd 1901 the baby passed away and she lost her life the same day. Leaving her husband, George Henry Crowther, and three little girls;
Ellen Geneva Crowther, Edgar (1892-1967)
Maybelle "Mable" Crowther, Plott (1894- 1979)
Nora Crowther (1895 - unkown)

George and Sarah had another child that was born in 1989 and passed away in the same year. We have been unable to find any information about the baby's death.

As we discover more family history about Sarah Anne (our Great Grandmother) we will make additions to her Memorial.
