Presley Tyler was the son of Moses Tyler and Phebe Evans. He married Francis Jane Marmaduke. Presley received the deed to his fathers property in 1834, where he built his brick home that still stands today. His widow, Jane, and daughter sold the property to John Sweeney in 1881. They had one daughter Frances Catherine Tyler.
