Osborne William Osborne, 88, died Dec. 17, 1997 at his daughter's home in Bluffdale.

Born March 3, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Henry and Mary Montgomery Gorringe. Married Lila May Reynolds, July 16, 1929 in Murray, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death.

Later married Ethel Akert Margetts, Oct. 7, 1981. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Temple worker in the Jordan River Temple and served in the High Priest quorum. He was the owner and operator of Spring Run Service Station in Murray from 1936-61 and then owned and operated Ray and Tobys Service in Riverton from 1962-84.

Survived by his wife, Murray; son and daughters, Dale and Shirley Gorringe, Mary Jean and Ray Garn, both Riverton; Lori and Harold Bowman, Bluffdale; 25 grandchildren, 29, great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be held Sat at 11:30 a.m. at the Murray 24th Ward, 755 E. Three Fountains Dr. Friends may call Fri. Eve. from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W., Riverton and on Sat. one hour prior at the church.
Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
