Mrs. Thelma Johnson
Mrs. Thelma Johnson Clayton, 34, wife of Cedar Bluff Councilman died unexpectedly at the Cherokee County Hospital Wednesday night about 10:00.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Cedar Bluff Methodist Church with Revs. Denson Franklin, Jr. and Jerome Brown officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Bluff Cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by her husband, a son Randy, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson of Cedar Bluff, Rt. 2, her grandmother Mrs. R. W. Johnson, a sister Mrs. Burt Bishop of Centre, three brothers, Wallace Johnson and Jack Johnson of Centre and Ralph Johnson of Birmingham.
Mrs. Clayton was a member of Round Mountain Baptist Church. She was beloved citizen of Cedar Bluff and an active member of the Cedar Bluff PTA.
