Beverly A. Carr passed away September 4, 2010. Beverly was born February 8, 1931 in Praco, AL, the daughter of Tom and Elsie (Simpkins) Smith. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Lincare Medical. Beverly was known for her hospitality and most of all for being the go-to person if a big meal needed to be prepared for anything. She was well known for her peanut butter pie and cinnamon rolls, but mostly for her availability if anyone ever needed help. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clark. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Walter H. Carr; son Jim McCollough and wife Cindy of Yukon, OK; son Larry Carr of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Tina Cox and husband Billy of Olathe, KS; brother Thomas L. Smith, Jr. of Dahlonega, GA; sister Thelma Bolton of Oklahoma City, OK; sister Roberta Hoover of Meeker, OK; sister Ernestine Strutz of Shelton, WA; sister Sharon Hayden of Mannford, OK. She also leaves behind grandchildren Christina McCollough, Michael McCollough, Tony McCollough, Brandon Carr, Jantina Carr and Tami Cox as well as great-grandchildren Cayden McCollough, Tanner McCollough, Nate McCollough and Haleigh McCollough. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 9, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment following in Bethany Cemetery.
