Herbert C. Larson, 77, Hillsdale, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Barron Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in the Town of Sioux Creek to Emil and Hannah (Nelson) Larson. He was raised in the Sioux Creek area and attended country school there. He served in the United States Army during WWII. After the war he went to work for Security Warehouse at Minneapolis where he worked for 18 years.

He married Dorothy Pahl Dec. 12, 1954, at Stillwater, Minn. They moved to Eau Claire and lived there for a short time before moving to a farm in Maple Grove in 1955. They farmed there until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Frances Apilkowski; and an infant brother. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Larson of Hillsdale; sons, Darrell Larson and Harlen (Stephanne) Larson, both of Dallas; daughters, Carol Larson of Lake Geneva and Diane (Tom) Lenz of Wausau; six grandchildren; brothers, Lester (Karen) of Fridley, Minn.., and LaVern Larson of Spooner; one sister, Valores Hanson of Spooner; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Services Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Dallas Lutheran Church, Rev. Ralph Marquardt officiating with interment at the Dallas Cemetery.

Arrangements with the Mark Rausch Funeral Service, Dallas and Cameron.
