OBITUARY OF MRS. FRANK HOLMES
Hannah A. Dove was born in Logan County, Ohio, Aug. 14th, 1847.
When four years of age her parents moved to Mahaska County, Iowa, near Oskaloosa, where they resided for a number of years, then moving to Marion County, Iowa, where she grew up to womanhood. Nov. 7th, 1867 she was united in marriage to Frank T. Holmes. To this union were born eight children, 4 of whom are left to mourn their loss, Mrs. Anna Terpstra, Mrs. Lottie Wood, Mrs. Maude Sparks, and Mr. Charlie Holmes. Besides these, she leaves a sister, Mrs. G.W. Potts of Des Moines, a brother, George Dove of Carthage, Mo. and a host of friends.
About 30 years ago, she united with the M.E. Church at Galesburg and remained a faithful member.
She was a kind and loving wife and mother, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She departed this life, Jan. 16th, 1916, age 68 years, 5 months, 2 days.
The funeral services were held at the Galesburg M.E. Church at 11 o'clock, Jan. 18. Conducted by her pastor, Rev. C.E. Fitzsimmons.
Interment was in the Hewitt Cemetery.
