Mrs. Katie Lucille Pence, aged 48, a resident of Palmyra for twelve years, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, at Macoupin hospital in Carlinville.
Deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eldridge, and was born near Waverly, residing here until twelve years ago. She was an active member of the Palmyra Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband, Chester; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Angelo of Carlinville, and Mrs. Mildred Redfern of Palmyra; four sons, Warren, Ray, Marvin and Billie, all of Palmyra; five brothers, Cleve Eldridge of Palmyra, Oren and Earl Eldridge of Waverly, and Charles Eldridge of Pisgah; and three sisters, Mrs. Neva Austif, Mrs. Rose Baggerly and Mrs. Elsie Points, all of Waverly.
Funeral services were held at the Palmyra Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Evangelist E. L. Banta officiating. Burial was in East Cemetery, Waverly.
