Lloyd Halligan, 61, died suddenly at Converse County Hospital on June 16, 1963, only eleven days after the death of his wife, Edith Ellen, on June 5. He reportedly had been ill only a short time. Lloyd Clarence Halligan was born Oct. 14, 1902 in Boyd County, Nebraska and had made his home in Douglas for seven years. Survivors include his six sons, Virgil of Lusk, Elliott of Salt Lake City, Utah, Harold and Richard of Casper, and Milford and Don of Douglas; three daughters, Betty Jelsma of Brigham, Utah, Phyllis Nagel of Grantsville, Utah and Darlene Simon of Salt Lake city, Utah; five brothers, Frank of Mission, S.D., Roy of Portland, Ore., Earl of Ft. Morgan, Colo., Wilbert of Oascoma, S.D., Eugene of Bassett, Nebr.; one sister, Lydia of Beatrice, Nebr.; forty grandchildren and one great grandchild.
