Edith Ellen Halligan, a resident of Douglas for seven years, died in Converse County Memorial Hospital June 5, 1963, following a long illness. She was born in Platte County, S.D. on June 14, 1903. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd C. Halligan,; six sons, Virgil of Lusk; Elliott of Salt Lake City, Harold of Casper, Don, Richard and Milford, all of Douglas; three daughters, Betty Jelsma of Willard, Utah, Phyllis Nagel of Grantville, Utah and Darlene Simon of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Elliott and Frank Walker; four sisters, Eunice Thorpe, Shoshon, Idaho, Reva Halligan of Portland, Ore., Alice Crambell, Dora, S.D. and Ethel Johnson, California; forty grandchildren and one great grandchild.
