"GRANT YOUNG DIES AT HIS HOME IN NEOGA

Special to The Journal-Gazette NEOGA, ILL., Nov. 14.-- Ulysses Grant Young, known as "Grant," died about 4 o'clock this morning at his home here, following a several month illness from liver trouble.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Swengel Funeral Home, Rev. Mark Borror officiating. Burial will follow in Neoga Cemetery.

Mr. Young was born Jan. 4, 1872, in Neoga, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Young. He spent his entire life in this community. He as a brick mason by trade.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Icy Connelly Young, whom he married in early manhood, and six children were born, Mrs. Dorothy Werth of Strasburg, Mrs. Ruby Checkley of Elkhart, Ind., and Frank, Grant Jr., Miss Mary Jane and Miss Virginia, all at home. Walter Young of Mattoon is a brother."
