A native and resident of Prairieville and an original member of the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department, he passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. He was 82. There will be a visitation at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Eric Gyan, celebrant. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Prairieville. Survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Gisele Babin, David Babin, and Richard and Jewel Babin; daughter, Linda Babin; grandchildren, Jared Babin, Amanda Babin, Blake Babin, Andrea Bourque and Miranda Babin; and great-grandchildren, Tori Bourque, Garrett Bourque and Harper Babin.
