COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Willie Savage Ragland, 58, were held Sunday at Whitson Funeral Home with burial in Cookeville City Cemetery.

Mr. Ragland, retired farmer of the Buck Mountain community and a native of Jackson County, died Saturday morning at his home.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lettie Ragland; seven sons, Mack E., Nashville, Fowler, Columbus, Miss., W.S., Wesley, and Kenneth Ragland, all of Cookeville, Vernon of Gainesboro, and Franklin Ragland of Kansas; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Pritchard, Kingston, Mrs. Leon Napier, Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Charlie Ray, Huntsville, and Mrs. Billy Brown, Nashville; a brother, Vernon Ragland, Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Farmer Brown, Cookeville; four half-brothers, Lester and Verble Ragland, both of Granville, Guy Ragland, Donelson, and Thurman Ragland, Detroit, Mich.; five half-sisters, Mrs. Hooper Brown and Mrs. Everett Halfacre, both of Granville, Mrs. Doyle Apple, Smyrna, Mrs. Homer Apple, Gainesboro, and Mrs. Gleen Williams, Nashville; and 20 grandchildren.
