Henry H. Thornhill, resident of Pineville, died 9 Jun 1996 at Veteran's Affairs Medical Center at age 78. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver.

Survivors are his wife, Hazel R. Thornhill of Pineville, his son, Hiram Richard Thornhill of Pineville; daughters Judy DeSoto and Billie Sue Guillot, both of Pineville, and Sallie Coleman of Baton Rouge, La. His brothers, Herman and Cleo Thornhill, both of Pineville, half-brothers Henry and Thomas Thornhill, both of Glenmora, La and Jessie Thornhill of Baytown, Texas; his half-sister, Dorothy Fuqua of Pineville, La., and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services are to be held in the chapel of Hixson Brothers with Rev. Joe Pennington presiding. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville.
