Mrs. David D. Stull

Mrs. Frany Martz Stull, wife of David D. Stull, died last night at her home on Solomon Road, Walnut Grove, in her 83rd year. She had not been enjoying good health for about a year and a half, but was able to be about her home until three weeks ago. Her death was due to a complication of ailments. The funeral will take place on Saturday morning. The remains will be lifted at the house a 9:30 o'clock and services will be conducted at the Weaver Mennonite Church, near Geistown, by the Rev. L. E. Haviland, pastor of the Trinity Evangelical Church. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Frany Martz was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Martz and was born in Richland Township, this county, in the fall of 1831. She and David D. Stull were marred in that township in 1855 by the Rev. Abraham Stutzman, of the Evangelical Church, and lived their until their removal to this city five years ago.

Mrs. Stull is survived by her husband, four sons, five daughters, 36 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Her sons and daughters are: Samuel M., who is in the West; Josiah D., of the Seventeenth Ward (Walnut Grove); Uriah D., of Dale Borough; David A., of near Salix; Elizabeth, widow of James Clinger, of Walnut Grove; Martha, wife of George Worthington, of Bedford Street; Rebecca A., wife of Daniel Miller, of Cliff Street, Dale; Sarah, wife of Isaac Detwiler, of Franklin Borough, and Christina, wife of Albert March [Marsh], of Woodvale Avenue, Eleventh Ward.

Mrs. Martz was a member of the Evangelical Church. She was a sister of David Martz, whose death occurred a few years ago in the Fifth Ward. He was the last of her brothers to pass away.
