Jacksonville - Final rites for Boyd Bacon, 57, a lifetime resident of Frankston, and a former Henderson County official, will be read at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Church of Christ in Frankston.
Officiating will be evangelist O. V. Tinson, minister, and the Rev. John Garrett, Frankston Baptist minister, and evangelist J. H. Ritchie of Troup.
Burial will be in Frankston City Cemetery under direction of Gragard-Spraggins-Swofford Funeral Home.
Mr. Bacon died Friday afternoon in his home following a long illness. He was Precinct 4 Commissioner in Henderson County from 1937 until 1947. He was a retired farmer and ranchman and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife; two brothers, Woodie Bacon and Murphy Bacon, both of Frankston; a half-brother, Guy Dickerson of Frankston; and three sisters, Mrs. C. H. Netille of Texarkana, Mrs. R. S. Beard and Miss Hazel Bacon, both of Houston.
