She was born April 13, 1925, in Shenandoah County, and was a daughter of the late Thomas Vernon and Rebecca Anna Mathias Golladay.
She had worked at Rockingham Poultry. She was also a member at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Timberville.
She was married to the late Robert Howell.
Surviving are three children, Robert Thomas Howell, Wayne Eugene Howell, and Anita Howell, and three sisters, Janet Shoemaker of Harrisonburg, Betty Dodson of Mount Jackson, and Louise Hobson of Dade City, Fla.
The body was cremated.
The family will receive friends this (Monday) evening from 7-8 p.m. at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
Burial will be private at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Timberville.
