William "Will" Jackson Livingston was born on September 26, 1872, probably in Alcorn County, Mississippi. He came to Texas with several of his family members, including his mother Elizabeth Lihue Northcutt Ballard Livingston, his Livingston siblings, and his Ballard step-siblings.

Will married Lilly B. White on February 28, 1895, in Hunt County, Texas. Lilly was 17, and Will was 20 at the time of their marriage. The couple farmed.

Lilly and Will had at least four children--Buford John, Betty Estelle, Wilmer Marvin, and Ina Pearl.

Lilly died in 1908 at the age of 31 and was buried in Howell Cemetery, Van Zandt County, Texas, near the grave of her mother-in-law Elizabeth Ballard Livingston.

Will lived 48 years after Lilly's death but never remarried. In 1930 he was working in the North Texas State Hospital for the Insane in Terrell, Texas. Two of his sons, Buford and Wilmer were working there also. At the time of his death, he was a retired house painter. Will died on October 12, 1956, and was buried in an unmarked grave in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas.
