13 May 1911: Mrs. Rebecca Ott, widow of the late John F. Ott, of Hummelstown, formerly of this city, died on Friday morning at 4:30 o'clock from senile debility after an illness of two years. She was 80 years old and leaves the following children: Henry Ott, of Phoenixville; Mrs. Solomon Gingrich, Hornerstown; Mrs. Charles Christian, Mrs. John Klinger, Philadelphia; Mrs. David H Cassel, of Hummelstown; Mrs. R. E. Stetler, of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Charles Atmore, Philadelphia. A brother, Henry Bricker, of Rocherty, this county, also survives. Mrs. Ott for many years lived at Sixth and Maple Streets, Independent District, but of late made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Cassel, of Hummelstown. She was a member of the U. B. church here. 15 May 1911: The funeral of the late Mrs. John F. Ott, of Hummelstown, formerly of this city, was held this morning with services in charge of Rev. Dieffenderfer, pastor of the Reformed church, Hummelstown, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. David H. Cassel, at that place. The body was brought here this afternoon and interment followed on Ebenezer Cemetery. P. H. Thompson was the undertaker.
