8 March 1902: John F. Ott, a retired stone mason, died of a complication of diseases on Friday afternoon at his home, 602 Maple Street, Independent District. He was well known and leaves a widow and eight children: Henry Ott, Phoenixville; Mrs. Kate Groy, Independent District; Mrs. Elizabeth Gingrich, Mrs. Mary Cassel, Hummelstown; Mrs. Annie Christian, Missoula, Minn,; Mrs. Barbara Stetler, Harrisburg; Mrs. Sallie Atmor, Mrs. Rebecca Klingler, Philadelphia. He was a member of Ebenezer U.B. Church, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning. [Lebanon Daily News]
