Rita Alice, born June 27, 1909 in Mulock, Tx., the youngest of 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She was a graduate of Texas Presbyterian College Academy in Milford, Tx. and Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth. She studied medicine 2 years at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, moved to OKC in 1934 and was head of the Microbiology Dept. at the Laboratory of the Okla. State Health Dept. 40 years. She enjoyed extensive travels to The Orient, Central America and Africa. Also active in Okla. City Council of Garden Clubs, the Iris and Day Lillies Societies and the Christian Women's Fellowship of the Putnam City Christian Church. The last year of her life was spent at the Okla. Christian Home in Edmond. She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews and a great number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
