NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - Vicki Jo Lane, age 51 of Nebr. City, NE passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Vicki was born on February 25, 1959 in Ft. Dodge, IA; the daughter of Victor and Mary Pat (Brehm) Border. She was united in marriage to Brian Lane on August 8, 1975 in Ft. Dodge, IA.
She worked as a nurse's aide at Golden Living Center in Nebr. City.
She is survived by her husband Brian Lane of Nebr. City, NE; four children April Blevins and husband Shawn of Bellevue, NE; Angela Lane, Jeremy Lane and Amanda Lane all of Nebraska City, NE; her mother Mary Pat Scheer and husband Duane of Ft. Dodge, IA; her father Victor Border and wife Shirley of Dana, IA; 7 grandchildren; siblings Mark Border and wife Sheila; Ann Machovec and husband Keith all of Ft. Dodge, IA; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Beth Border and by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City, NE with Fr. Mark Cyza officiating.
Inurnment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dumcombe, IA at a later date.
