CHESTNUT GROVE - Carl Wallace Cooper, 87, of Chestnut Grove, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 at his residence.

Born Dec. 19, 1933 in Dixonville, Indiana County, he was the son of Charles and Vera (McCullough) Cooper Little.

Mr. Cooper was retired as a mechanic from Consolidated Natural Gas Company.

He attended the Salem United Methodist Church near DuBois, was a member of the United Gas Workers Union Local 69, was a member of the Chestnut Grove Sportsman's Club, and was involved with the Chestnut Grove Community Center.

On July 2, 1955 he wed the former Beatrice Arlene Cohick, who survives; along with a daughter, Joan Pentz and husband Keith of Chestnut Grove. Also surviving are three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Bash and husband Jack of DuBois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carlene Cooper; a son, Charles Cooper; two brothers, Eugene "Gene" and Charles "Chuck"; and three sisters, Louella Lydic, Doloris Pennington and Evelyn Vasbinder.

Due to COVID-19 regulations there will be no public visitation.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Kendra Balliet officiating. Interment will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 282, DuBois, PA 15801-0282; or the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
