On March 30, 2021, Bruce Garver wrote the following "bio" of Albert Morris (1844-1918) who was born on February 29, 1844, in Butler County, Ohio, to Mahlon Morris (1807-1872) and Harriett Morris (1809-1896). Of their six children, Albert was the youngest. During the American Civil War, Corporal Albert Morris served in Company "M" of the 2nd Ohio Cavalry of the U. S. Army, having enlisted for three years as a Private on November 6, 1862, and having been discharged as a Corporal on September 28, 1865, six months after the last Confederate armies had unconditionally surrendered.
Albert Morris is not known ever to have married. He died on September 9, 1918, at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton, seat of Butler County, Ohio, and was interred three days later on September 12, 1918, immediately after a Presbyterian burial service, at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Butler County, Ohio.
