Aged Resident Of
Shawmut Passes;
Rites, Monday
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Edge, 87, of Shawmut, died Sunday, havbing been seriously ill since last Thursday. Services were conducted from the Methodist church, Monday, the Rev. T. P. Powell and the Rev. McCoy Guthrie, officiating.
Mrs. Edge was a native of Tallapoosa county, and a member of the Primitive Baptist church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. C. M. Mobley, of Shawmut; five sons, Joe and John Edge, of Fairfax; Sylvesterk of Shawmut; Tom, of Sylacauga; and Bobby, of Ashburn, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Ida Watkins, of Langdale; 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Shawmut, conducted by Johnson and Company.
