Writer/director/producer/editor Charles Vincent Dingley was born in 1940 in Garden City, Michigan where he grew up with a European-style upbringing. Chuck was Maltese, Hungarian & Romanian. He started as a stage manager and director in a regional theater, after which he moved to the east coast. He founded the very successful production company Platinum Pictures in New York City. In 1971, he made his cinematic debut with the comedic adult short feature "The Appointment." From here, Chuck became well-known thru the 70s and 80s as he turned out his very popular campy adult-rated films. He left a footprint that make him still memorable and popular today. A final triumph for him was the wonderful tribute to him in Variety magazine after his death.
