Erma A. Pifer, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 1983. She was born in Reynoldsville on Dec. 13, 1896, the daughter of the late Charles and Ida Ellenburger Pifer. She was a member of Cascade United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women's organization and the Ruth Circle.
She was the widow of (George) Cadmus Pifer.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Montrose) Buhite, of Erie; three sons, Hayden and Norman Pifer, both of Erie, and James Pifer of Mira Loma, CA; and a sister, Mrs. William (Geneva) Leilich of Bradenton, FL.
Friends may call at Donald C. Burton Funeral Home, 602 W. 10th, today from 7 to 9pm and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. There will be a service at the funeral home Wednesday at 11am with the Rev. Francis T. Bach officiating.
