In Memoriam
MANNING- In memory of our son, STAFF SERGEANT ARTHUR L., killed in action in Normandy,France on June 19, 1944.
So many years ago there came a boy,
Bringing to us our overflow of joy!
Cradled and taught to walk,with tender care...
Growing to manhood, strong to do his share.
Then came the summons...ah, how cruel the blow!...
How could he leave us, who had loved him so?
Father who seest us, hear our parent prayer;
As we watched here, Oh God, please watch him There!
MOTHER AND DAD
Brother with whom we watched the sun
Painting the West-whose sunset came
Too early, and whose race was run
Swiftly; Death, it is only a Name!
There is no Death, the poet sings;
Life passed you on, to greater things.
LOVING BROTHER, GEORGE AND SISTERS,
DORIS, LILLIAN, MILDRED AND BETTY.
