Ronald W. Newcome Sr.,of Star Route, Coolspring, died Thursday June 24, 2004 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital. Mr. Newcome was born October 17, 1916, in Burkett Hollow, the son of the late Guy & Mabel Cochran Newcome.
On November 30, 1940, he married Mabel L. Dinger,
who preceded him in death May 23, 1995.
He was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Surviving relatives include
a son,Ronald W. Newcome, Jr. of Punxsutawney;
a brother, Darle Newcome of New York;
a sister, Lenore Yount of Summerville;
8 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents & wife, Mr. Newcome was precede in death by a son, Richard Newcome;
a sister Luella Peterson;
and three brothers: Kenneth, Richard and Sam Newcome.
Friends will be received at the Deeley Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home with the Rev Christopher Golembiowski officiating. Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Cemetery.
