He resided in Chenango County, New York prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army on July 29, 1942 in Binghamton, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the woodworking occupation and also as Single, with dependents.
He was married after his enlistment.
Clarence was "Killed In Action" when his B-17, while returning from a bombing run in the Hispano/Suisa complex, was hit by enemy ground anti-aircraft fire and crashed in Central Paris, France during the war.
