No record of burial or grave marker was found for Harden. His Great Granddaughter, Faye Singleton Salyers, was told by her mother, Minta Reynolds Singleton, that Harden's daughter Martha told her that her father and relatives were buried in the Reynolds/Singleton Cemetery. This is the basis for posting Harden and Eunice herein. I had originaly placed Polly in this cemetery; however, another researcher has found evidence of a Reynolds being buried in the Zachariah Ray Cemetery in Garrard Co. KY. Polly's grandparents, Zachariah Ray and Mary Benge, are buried in this cemetery and is probably located on the farm where Polly's father, William Ray, was raised. It is logical to assume that Polly was taken there for burial.

Harden would have been born and raised on the farm where he is reported to have been laid to rest. He bought a joining farm of 123 acres. This farm passed to his son Tolbert "Tol" and his children divided and occupied some of the land for many years.

Harden married Polly Ray in Lincoln Co. on 15 June 1838. They had a daughter, Rufina, born in June 1839. See Polly for history of Rufina.

Second, Harden married Eunice Barnett on 27 Jan. 1844 in Lincoln Co. KY. They had six children - See Eunice for listing.

Third, Harden married Mary Jane Murphy prior to the 1860 census. Their daughter, Sarah Belle, was born 14 June 1860. Harden died in 1863. Mary Jane married Walter West 9 Dec. 1867.
