British World War II Spy.

Wife of British army officer Tom Plewman, Eliane worked for the Spanish section of the Ministry of Information during World War II. She later joined the British Special Operations Executive and was given the codename "Gaby."

In August, 1943, she was dropped in France by parachute. She worked with some French Resistance Members, who were betrayed and they were arrested. She was interrogated by the Gestapo for three weeks. In September of 1944, she was transferred to Dachau with three other SOE agents (Yolande Beekman, Madeleine Damerment and Noor Inayat Khan.) They were all executed at Dachau.
