Due to the deterioration of original tombstones for Charity & William Allen, a great-grandson of William & first wife, Patience, had "replacements" erected in 2012 but left the originals in place (they have been cleaned). A memorial stone was also erected for Patience Allen, William's first wife.

Georgia State death certificate indicates death date as 3 Mar 1919. I'm not sure where the date, 28 Feb 1919, on the headstone came from as I can find no other records to support this.
