Tommy, as he was affectionately called, was a native of Hall County, Ga., born Sept. 12, 1923, son of the late Jessie Oliver Millwood and Nora Agnes Castleberry Millwood. He was a retired electrician and a Mason, member of the Masonic Lodge #263 in Pompano Beach, Fla.. He was also a member of the Amara Shrine Temple and the Kiwanis Club in Tequesta, Fla., the Elk's Lodge #196 in Jupiter and the American Legion Post #271 in Jupiter. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. His wife Betty Lee Boyles Millwood, preceded him in death in 1981. He is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Sherry Lynn Dirico of Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Nancy Lee Wilkinson of Palatka, Fla., Mrs. Tommie Heard of Rockledge, Fla.; and Mrs. Linda Barbara Warren of Pittsburg, Penn.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Edith Rushin of Americus, Ga. and Mrs. Annie Mae Greene of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a half sister, Mrs. Mamie Denny of Americus, Ga.; 2 brothers, Leonard Millwood and Dorsey Millwood, both of Americus; 5 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held at Hancock Funeral Home in Americus on Friday, Dec., 29 at 1:00 p.m.. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
