Lavera S. Laibe, 93, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Rhine, died July 8, 2008.
She was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Rhine to George and Philomena Koenig Steinke, who preceded her in death. In 1937, she married Emerson Laibe, who survives.
Mrs. Laibe had worked in the law offices of Layton & Vaubel and in the Ohio Agricultural Conservation Committee Office, Columbus. She attended school in Rhine and was a 1933 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include a daughter, Patricia (William J.) Baker, of Peoria, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Kimberly (James) Bologna, of Dearborn, Mich., Anthony (Annette) Baker, of Arlington, Va., and James (Angela) Baker, of South Lyon, Mich.; seven great-grandchildren; and four sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Sun City, Ariz.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Menke Funeral Home, Sun City, Ariz.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
