S/o George and Philomena(Koenig) Steinke.
on April 7,1953,he married Mary Carolyn Mann,who survives along with four children, Grag Steinke of Sidney,Mark Steinke of Columbus,Richard Steinke of Sycamore,Ill.and Mrs Mike(Cheryl) Gibbs of Sidney;five grandchildren,Aaron,Corie,Abby,Amber and Joshua;two step-grandchildren,Adam and Marcus;a brother,Lester Steinke of Scottsdale,Ariz;three sisters,Hilma Ruppert of Wapakoneta,Jeanette Carter of Uniopolis and Bernice Bonnoront of Sidney also survive.three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Dick was an operations supervisor for The Dayton Power and Light for 38ana a half years before retiring in 1986.
Dick was also a U.S Army of World War II.
Mr.Steinke was a member of the Holy Angles Catholic Church,the Sidney Amrican Legion Post 217.Sdney Moose Lodgeb568.Sidney Elks Club 786,and the Sidney Senior Swingers.He granduated with the class of 1946 at the Holy Angles High School.
