Mrs. Edgington was born on June 16, 1926 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late C. D. Roadcap and Virginia Roadcap Mussetter.
She was a homemaker and provided babysitting and foster care in her home. She was a member of Gospel Hill Mennonite Church.
She was married for 53 years to her husband James S. Edgington who preceded her in death in May 1999.
Surviving are five children, Suzanne Lee, John Harrington, Leroy Hammer, Joe Hammer and Amy Edgington; three sisters, Evelyn Thompson, Esther Clark, Ollie Mae Henshew; one grandson; two granddaughters; two great grandsons; and one great granddaughter.
Pastors J. Mark and Emma Frederick will conduct a graveside service on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Gospel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service at McMullen Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
