Rites Conducted For Irma Harris...
Services Held Monday

Final rites were held Monday at the Wherry Chapel in Table Rock for Mrs. Lester Harris, who passed away at the Pawnee County Hospital Saturday morning at the age of 59. She had been in failing health for several years.

Rev. Ward Merritt officiated, and interment was in the Table Rock Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clifford Bindrum, John Bowen, Frank Petrashek, Lloyd Wright, Harold Shuss and Rudy Fritch,Sr. Singers were Mrs. Jesse Nemechek,Jr. and Mrs. Joe Sochor, who were accompanied at the organ by Mrs. George Tomek.

OBITUARY-

Irma Esther Harris, daughter of John and Ida (Young) Sturgeon, was born January 23, 1912, at Summerfield, Kansas, and passed away at the Pawnee County Hospital on December 18, 1971.

She was united in marriage on October 2, 1936 at Pawnee City to Lester H. Harris and to this union was born one son, Garry Lee.

She had resided in Canada, Indiana, Kansas and Nebraska, received her schooling in Pawnee county. In 1930 after her father's death, she, her mother, four brothers moved to Table Rock where she worked and enjoyed her work in several homes in the community, among these the late Sam McKelvie, former governor of Nebraska.

Irma was a very happy and loving person, especially with her grandchildren, or any child. She always found a way to please them.

Although in poor health for several years and especially the past 2 1/2 years after surgery and several hospitalizations, she still remained in a happy frame of mind at all times with little complaint, regardless of how badly she felt. she will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends who knew her.
