Son of Hester Vickers and Joseph Doan, Sr.(5), Israel(4), Daniel(3), Daniel(2), Deacon John Doane(1). Mahlon escaped from jail while awaiting trial by cutting off fleshy parts of his heels to slip off his shackles. He was never heard of again and it was rumored he either drowned or escaped to England. Died after 1788.
