THOMAS C. NEWTON
Thomas Carson Newton, 62 of Harwood, Missouri, died Saturday near Bosworth, Missouri.
Born Oct. 3, 1916 near Chillicothe, Missouri, he had lived in his hometown for 20 years before moving to Walker, Missouri where he had made his home for five years. He moved to Harwood, Missouri, about two years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, of the home; sons: Ferrill E. Newton, Olathe, and Thomas D. Newton, Walker, Missouri, daughter: Jane Newton Hilt, Olathe; father: Robert G. Newton, Bogard, Missouri; sisters: Mrs. Lela Standley, Bosworth, Missouri, Mrs. Jane Boone, Little Falls, Minn. and Mrs. Velma Roney, Pasadena, California; brother: Walter Newton, Bogard, Missouri; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at the W.L. Frye and Son Funeral Home, Olathe. Burial will be in the Monticello Cemetery.
