Margaret was the daughter of Wade Hampton and Nancy Ellen (Crabtree) Oglesby who were early settlers of Hamilton County, coming from Kentucky.
She married James A. Reeves. She had one son, Arl, and four step-children whom she loved as her own.
Margaret was survived by her son, Arl; three step-children, Levi of Orient, Illinois, Nellie Crabtree and Rachel Reeves of McLeansboro; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Cassie Richardson of McLeansboro.
Her step-son, Carson, preceded her in death.
The funeral was held at Little Springs Church on Sunday 16 May 1937 officiated by D. H. Knight with assistance from Reverend W. H. Weatherford.
