Elizabeth Ann King was born in King's Ferry,Florida on Mar. 4, 1825.She was the daughter of,Thomas King III(1790-1835) and Maria Theresa Woodland(1789-1860).Elizabeth's father,Thomas operated a Ferry business on the St Mary's River.Thomas King's Ferry is where the town of King's Ferry,Florida gets it's name.

Elizabeth married a Spaniard,James Ramis of Camden County,Georgia.James was born in about 1810 in Minorca,Spain.James came to King's Ferry,Florida from Camden County,Georgia with his father,William Ramis in the 1830's.

James Ramis a veteran of the Florida Seminole Indian War's of 1835 married,Elizabeth Ann King in Camden County,Georgia on Sep 7,1846.James and Elizabeth had the following two children all born in Kings Ferry,Florida.

1)Laurence L Ramis b Jul 1849,d 1932

2)William T Ramis b 1852,d 1938

On 6 Feb 1854,Elizabeth Ann King Ramis received a letter from her brother,Edwin R King who was attending law school in Boston. The letter still survives and is owned by a family member
