Born,Henry Perry King in Camden County,Georgia in 1820 he was the son of,Thomas King III and Maria Theresa Woodland.He was known as "Perry" King and appears that way in most of the early records.

In the 1837 Florida Seminole Indian War's,Henry "Perry" King and his two brothers,Andrew Jackson King and,Josiah King served as privates for the Mounted Florida Volunteers.They Served in,Captain Lewis Bailey's Company of the First Regiment,Brigade of Florida Militia.Captain Lewis Bailey's Company commander was, Captain John Warren.They had been ordered to service by,Maj General Thomas Sidney Jessup from the 14 day of Feb 1837 to the 13 day of June 1837.Andrew Jackson King with his black horse and his two older brother's,Josiah King and ,Henry Perry King both with their sorrel mare's,mustered into service in Jacksonville ,Florida on 22 Mar 1837 serving until 28 Apr 1837.They returned home for just over a month before mustering back in at Jacksonville to serve a second time with the same Company on 13 June 1837.Their Company participated in running the Seminole Indians out of the Okefenokee Swamp.

On 11 Oct 1859,Henry "Perry" purchased property from his brother,Edwin R King Sr for the sum of $500

In the 1860 Kings Ferry census,H. Perry King's occupation is listed as a "Dentist".

During the Civil War,Henry "Perry" King served in the 2nd Regiment of the Florida Cavalry of the Confederate Army.The unit served in Florida throughout the war. It fought at Olustee, Gainesville, and Braddock's Farm, and surrendered at Tallahassee on May 10, 1865.

In about 1866,Perry King moved to Citrus County,Florida where he lived with his brother,Edwin R King Sr. He was a dentist,was married briefly but had no children
