Polly, the daughter of David Niver, came to Hamilton county as a child. She married a Mr. Jackson and they were the parents of one son, Peter. Mr. Jackson died and she married David Sharp. Four children by her second husband survived her: W. T. Sharp and C. M. Sharp, both of McLeansboro, Illinois; Mrs. E. D. Rathbone of Thompsonville, Illinois; and Mrs. Lewis Martin of Ashley, Illinois.
