Obit: ROCK SPRINGS - Funeral services for Edgewater, Fla., resident Blaine Potter, 71, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, in Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs. Graveside services will be in Paul J. Wataha Memorial Park Cemetery.
He died Nov. 29, 2003, at Florida Hospital Ormond, following three years of ill health.
Born Jan. 4, 1932 in Green River, he was the son of Charles A. and Wanda (Greenhalgh) Potter; attended Reliance Elementary School, and graduated from Reliance High School in 1951. He was an avid basketball player. He graduated from Ogden, Utah Beauty College and obtained a cosmetology license. For many years he owned and operated Blaine's Beauty Salon, the drove a truck until his retirement.

His first wife was Florence Delgado. The couple later divorced. On Nov. 22, 1971 he married Wanda Mann in Evanston. A former resident of Layton, Utah and Rock Springs, he had lived in Edgewater for the last seven years.
His interests included spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years of Edgewater; three sons, Tom Potter of Rock Springs, Shane Heikes of Orlando, FL, and Troy Heikes of Purcell, OK; five daughters, Darlene Urutia and husband and Connie Lucas, both of Rock Springs, Tanya McGarvey and husband of Reliance, Dovee Rust of Laurinburg, NC, and Roxann Todd of Edgewater' two brothers, Ted and Tim Potter, both of Green River; two sisters, Barta Andrews of Ogden and Patsy Lowseth of Green River, 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronnie Potter, a brother, Tom Potter, and a nephew.
