Kathleen Fern Weddel of Quapaw, Oklahoma passed away Friday July 23, 2010 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was 65.
Mrs. Weddel was born December 12, 1944 in Peoria, Oklahoma to Marion "Mike" and Vernie Mae (Jimmerson) Carver. She was raised in the Peoria area and lived for over 50 years in the Quapaw area. She worked for Eagle Picher in quality control for 30 years retiring in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Loren Carver and Norman Carver and a sister Noma Jean Holt.
She married Glen Weddel March 28, 1964 and he survives of the home.
Additional survivors includes 1 Son and his wife Yancey and Michelle Weddel of Belview, NB 2 Daughters Melacka Weddel of the home, Karla and husband Bruce Forrester of Miami, Ok, 2 Brothers Wayne Carver of Fort Worth, TX, John Carver of Carl Junction, MO, 5 Sisters Rose "Sis" Brown of Galena, KS, Loretta Aquino of Benbrook, TX, Carol Eddy of Meriden, KS, Eileen Adams of Galena, KS, Wilma Kay Scott of Ozawkie, KS 5 Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be Monday July 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma. Rev. Dale Neal will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ranny McWaters, Rusty Beatty, Bub Neal, Danny Boyd, Danny Sills and Daryl Sills. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Miami Nation Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. Services are under the directions of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami, OK.
