Frank Lawrenson, 42, businessman and former Jerome county commissioner, died suddenly of apoplexy about midnight, Friday at Old Faithful Inn, Yellowstone National Park, where he had gone on a vacation with his wife, four children, Mrs. Laurenson's mother of Downey, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Wilson of Jerome. He had complained of stomach trouble during the trip, but stated it was nothing serious and the trip was continued.

He moved from Downey, Idaho to Jerome as manager of the Consolidated Wagon and Machine company, had served as manager of North Side Lumber and Mercantile Company, vice president of the Idaho Coal Dealers' association, and was sales manager for the Peerless Coal company of Boise at the time of his death, having the territory of Idaho, Oregon and northern Utah. He was Jerome county commissioner from 1926 to 1928, and vice president and chairman of the program committee of the county fair board during the same period. At the time of his death, Mr. Laurenson was a resident of Boise.

Funeral services were held at the McBratney funeral home, Rev. W. B. Young of the Methodist church officiated, and interment was in Morris Hill cemetery. Deceased was a veteran of the World war and the local American Legion post of Boise had charge of the funeral at the cemetery.
