She had 2 half-brothers and 2 full brothers. She, like her sisters attended Albion Teacher's College. She grew up on a ranch where all family members pitched-in to make it run.

She married Frank William Laurenson in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 5, 1913. They met in Downey, Idaho. They had two children during their marriage, Robert . 1914 and and Hazel b. Feb. 13, 1917. She died as a young mother from complications after childbirth on February 22, 1917, in Lewiston, Idaho, at the age of 28, and was buried in Downey, Idaho.

Her bereived husband left the two young children for a time with his mother-in-law, Olive, to care for as he joined the military. Robert Frank and Hazel would always remember their Uncle Jack Pratt and time at the Zenda Ranch during that time. Florence's niece (daughter of Jack and Emily Pratt) Lillian took on Florence's name as her middle name, and was always known as "Lili-Flo".

Hazel Florence Frosiness / Keim was born on February 13, 1917, in Lewiston, Idaho. Both her father, Frank, and her mother, Florence (Pratt), were 28. She had an older brother, Robert. Her mother died 9 days after her birth due to complications after the delivery. Her dad took off soon after, leaving her and Robert in the care of her mother Olive Hunt Pratt's family on a cattle ranch in Zenda, Idaho for a few years. All accounts are that Hazel was a very happy child.

Her father, Frank remarried when he returned from his military service when Hazel was 3 years old. He and his second wife, Lela, added 2 more girls to the family Dorothy in 1922 and Maxine in 1925. Her dad died suddenly and unexpectedly during a family visit to Yellowstone National Park at age 41 when she was 23 years old.

In 1938 Hazel married Gordon Newell Froisness and they had two children: Valerie (1942) and Richard (1945) together. He ran an air service business and was a flight instructor. Another loss occured when he was killed while serving in the Korean War Oct. 31st, 1952 when the children were 10 and 8 years of age. Gordon was lost over the S. China Sea serving as a pilot. They had been married 14 years.

She then married a man the family was very impressed with: Kenneth Henry Keim on May 12, 1956, in Clark County, Nevada who was 9 years her junior. She died on April 12, 1992, in San Lorenzo, California, at the age of 75, and was buried in Hayward, California. She was no danger of losing Kenneth early. He would outlive her by 30 years, dying at age 95 in 2022. Kenneth remarried after Hazel passed away, marrying Bonnie Jean Donovan, who died in 2010. The two wives of Kenneth were buried along side one another.
